Efekan Kökcü completed his masters in Bilkent University in Turkey. He joined NCSU in 2018 to pursue his PhD degree and joined this research group in summer of 2019. He worked on simulating spin systems efficiently by using quantum computers.

Efekan has joined Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory as a postdoctoral scholar.
